Illumination study

From the workers’ perspective, poor lighting at work can lead to eye strain, fatigue, headaches, stress & accidents. On the other hand, too much light can also cause safety & health problems such as “glare” headaches & stress. Both can lead to mistakes at work, poor quality & low productivity.

The quality of lighting in a workplace can have a significant effect on productivity. With adequate lighting, workers can work efficiently which can lead to a 10-50% increase in productivity. Good lighting can decrease errors by 30-60% as well as decrease eye strain.

EVPL uses Lux Meter for measuring illuminances in workplaces. Illuminance is a common parameter while studying illumination measurement. It defines or measures the amount of light falling on the unit surface area of the workplace and its Unit is lux (lx). It is used to evaluate the capability of lighting for seeing an object.

At EVPL, we also provide mitigation measures regarding illumination studies.
